Hidden Desk Lift

Recently, I designed and built a lift for my office desk that fits quite snugly in an IKEA Alex storage unit. At a size of 420mm * 240mm It features a decently sized platform. The height of the volume is about 460mm.

Testing Rig

To measure the torque output of cylindrical motors of varying size, I designed this contraption. It features two sets of opposing grippers, that are supposed to keep the motor-under-test in place. Furthermore, supports (grippers) for earlier sections of the motor and gearbox are placed on linear rails and can be adjusted via a crank handle in the back.
